Step 1
Defrost prawns (if frozen), disregard and squeeze out excess water.

Roughly cut the prawns

Cut the red onion into small pieces

Mix prawns, mayonnaise, crème fraiche, dried dill, red onion, lemon juice,(&optional white fish roe) until all mixed together.

Season with salt and pepper to taste

The Skagen mix tastes best if resting overnight in the fridge.

Place rye bread slice on a plate

Cover with a large lettuce leaf
