Heat the oil in a pan, add the onion, celery and carrot and cook until soft. Stir in the garlic and add the ground beef and cook until the meat is browned.

Add the chopped tomatoes, TABASCO® Sauce, stock, wine (or additional stock instead), herbs, nutmeg and basil and simmer on a low heat for 30 minutes with a lid on.

Add the tomato paste and simmer for a further 30 minutes.

Season with salt and pepper to taste. Use to make lasagne or serve with spaghetti.
