Plum and Apple Cake

Ingredients

Increase Portion Size

  • g Country Range Plain Flour
  •   tsp Country Range Salt
  •   tsp Country Range Baking Powder
  •   tsp Country Range Ground Cinnamon
  • g Unsalted Butter
  • g Caster Sugar
  •   Egg (beaten)
  •   Apples (peeled and chopped)
  •   tbsp Icing Sugar

    Step 1

    Preheat the oven to 180°C.

    Grease a 23cm cake tin and line the base with non-stick baking paper.

    Beat room temperature butter and sugar in a mixing bowl until creamy.

    Gradually beat the egg in until smooth.
  • 5

    Sift in the flour, baking powder, salt and cinnamon and fold in gently until thoroughly combined.

    Stir in the chopped apples and plums. Spoon into the tin and spread evenly.

    Sprinkle with sugar on top.

    Bake for 30-40 minutes until golden brown. Cool in the tin for 5 minutes then place on a rack to cool before serving.
