Step 1
Add sufficient cold water to the soup to make a smooth paste, blend in the remaining cold water and bring to the boil.

Reduce the heat, cover the pan and simmer gently for 5 minutes, stirring occasionally.

Cut the broccoli into small florettes and cook in boiling salted water for 6 minutes, drain well.

Stir into the cooked soup.

Serve in warmed bowls and garnish with cubed Stilton pieces.

Serve with granary and walnut or sunflower seed bread.
