Premier Foods is launching a new initiative for the education channel which will aim to bring local communities together by encouraging them to come and eat together.
The ‘Bisto Together Project’ will help drive community spirit and tackle loneliness by connecting people of all generations and backgrounds within the school canteen and follows alarming government research which reveals that 44% of the UK has felt lonely at some point in their lives.
School caterers and chefs will have access to a whole host of materials online which will provide them with the tools to put on a ‘Bisto Community Table’ at their school. To support the campaign, those schools which register online and commit to hosting a Bisto Community Table, will receive free samples of Bisto Gluten Free Gravy to help on the day. In addition, the first 50 schools to register online will also receive a kit that contains everything from table talkers, ways to help get conversations started, to designated boxes which encourage participants to hand over technology distractions, such as phones.
