Add sufficient cold water to the soup to make a smooth paste, blend in the remaining cold water and bring to the boil.

Reduce the heat, cover the pan and simmer gently for 5 minutes, stirring occasionally.

Finely dice the chilli, removing the seeds, and crush the garlic. Heat a small amount of oil in a pan and fry gently for 2 minutes.

Stir in the soup with the sweetcorn and rice, heat thoroughly.
