Damson crumble

Ingredients

  • g damsons, stoned and chopped
  • g caster sugar
  • g plain flour
  • g oats
  • g demerara sugar
  • g butter

Method

    Step 1

    Heat the oven to 180°C.

    Step 2

    Place the chopped damsons in a saucepan with the caster sugar and a little water and allow the fruit to soften. Taste and, if too tart, add a little more sugar before putting the fruit in an ovenproof dish.

    Step 3

    Combine the flour, oats, demerara sugar and butter to create your crumble and place evenly on top of the fruit.

    Bake for about 25-30 minutes.
