- Heat the oven to 180°C.
- Place the chopped damsons in a saucepan with the caster sugar and a little water and allow the fruit to soften. Taste and, if too tart, add a little more sugar before putting the fruit in an ovenproof dish.
- Combine the flour, oats, demerara sugar and butter to create your crumble and place evenly on top of the fruit.
- Bake for about 25-30 minutes.
