Cheesecake is a beloved dessert which many people assume has its origins in New York – but it actually dates back over 4,000 years to Ancient Greece! The oldest surviving Greek recipe combines cheese with honey and spring wheat flour but, nowadays, there are a whole host of different flavour combinations to tempt you. This month, Country Range has added three new on-trend flavours to its cheesecake selection: • Salted Caramel Chocolate Truffle Cheesecake A baked vanilla cheesecake with salted caramel topping sauce decorated with 15 bulbs of dark chocolate ganache and dusted with cocoa powder. • Black Forest Chocolate Cheesecake A baked cheesecake consisting of a chocolate digestive biscuit base topped with dark chocolate cheesecake and injected with pockets of cherry sauce. Decorated with dairy cream, chocolate brownies and a sprinkle of chocolate curls. • White & Dark Chocolate Cheesecake A crisp chocolate biscuit base with layers of white and dark chocolate cheesecake, baked and finished with chocolate ganache and white chocolate shavings. All of the new cheesecakes are pre-portioned into 12 slices and frozen for convenience. For best results remove all packaging whilst product is still frozen and place on a serving plate.
