My grandad was in service out there in WW2 and my father-in-law was born there 7 Favourite cuisine: Asian because of the diversity of spices and flavours 8 Signature dish: Alresford Egg - smoked trout and watercress scotch egg with a guaranteed runny yolk wrapped in a rye breadcrumb that stays crisp even when cold. Delicious! 9 Must-have kitchen gadget: A Kamado Joe, a ceramic egg-shaped oven that some people would call a BBQ but it slow cooks as well and you can change the temperature in seconds. It’s Dip your fresh herbs stalk down in a couple of inches of sparkling water in a cool part of the kitchen keeping them fresh and crisp incredible for slow cooking meats like brisket.
